The founder Jim Garus is a Vietnam Veteran who believes in supporting American workers and their companies. Jim entered the safety business in 1991 working for Portland Glove. When the opportunity to buy his route plus others came up he expanded his business and developed American Glove Company in 1994. His staff at the time included himself and his wonderful wife Judy. They stored gloves in every available space they could find on their property. The animals had to be moved many times to different barns to make way for more gloves! Since then American Glove Company has expanded its staff and built a 16,000 sq foot warehouse in town to accommodate their growing business. American Glove Company employs 25% of their staff to people with special needs. They won an award from Garten Services in 2000 for their staff. In 2002 they won Business of the Year for their community in Dallas, Oregon. We pride our selves in helping businesses to keep their staff safe and able to complete their jobs to the best of their ability with our PPE products.
