South Florida Fairgrounds - West Palm Beach

South Florida Fairgrounds or popularly called the Fairgrounds was founded in 1912 and is located at 9067 Southern Blvd, West Palm Beach. With 135 acres comprise the real property and formerly located at John Prince Park but moved for the county to have a state university.

The South Florida Fairgrounds or The Fairgrounds as fondly called is segregated into several parts: the parking tracts, Yesteryear Village, the Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre, the exhibit buildings, which include the Expo Center and the Agriplex.  For trade shows and exhibits, the space available on the Fairgrounds exceeds 200,000 square feet. During the annual South Florida Fair, the southern parking tract is utilized as the "midway" containing rides, shows, games, and concessions. It is the largest and oldest outdoor event in the Palm Beach County. Every January, we hold the biggest party in town running for seventeen (17) days of fun with almost 60,000 guests. Imagine food fair...corn dogs, fried Oreos, donuts, giant pretzels, burgers then add to the mix music, animals and lots more. It is guaranteed a blast! 

All through out the year, South Florida Fairgrounds hosts about 100 shows and events. We are the home of the Barrett Jackson Palm Beach Collector Car Auctions, the Florida Sportsman Fishing and Boat Show, the West Palm Beach Antiques and Collectibles Show, Scrapbooking Expo, the West Palm Beach Home Show, and the Florida RV Show among others.

We are a non-profit corporation. With 17 people working as Chiefs in different capacities along with a couple of Vice Presidents and a CEO. There are 55 directors currently working for South Florida Fair as volunteers. Directors and Trustees are working free of cost.

For the day to day operations at the Fairgrounds, President, Rick Vymlatil and a staff of 45 employees overseas it is running smoothly. South Florida Fair is focused on trade, agriculture, historical heritage of communities and entertainment.

There are many successful events passed that are glorifying the history of South Florida Fair. To name a few these are; 38 Special in Concert- Free with Fair admission, Patrick Smith's a Land Remembered Multimedia Show, Gigantic Garage Sale, City Kids On The Farm, Trick-or-Treat at Spookyville in Yesteryear Village!, Palm Beach 2016 Summer Boat Show, John Picano, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament, The Grassroots & The Buckinghams in Concert, Hoobastank in Concert, Tenth Avenue North in Concert and 25th Annual Gigantic Garage Sale.

There are lots of parking available at South Florida Fair. However, on major events, it is suggested to come early as this is "The Place" where a lot of South Florida people and those outside the state go to especially on yearly anticipated events. Traffic aides are assigned all over the place to ensure everyone is able to get parking. Each show and events every year is always a hit, so you are sure it is worth the trip coming down here.
