Bruce Beebe bought the business in the early 1970's. Bruce and his son worked together for many years, serving the automotive needs of this community. In 2006, Bruce Sr., the President, retired . Then his son, Bruce Jr., took over the business. In 2009, Bruce Sr. passed.
Not long after, in 2010, Bruce Jr. passed away unexpectedly. In order to continue the legacy that her father- in- law and husband created, Bruce Jr.'s wife, Genie, took charge of Tequesta Tire Co, Inc. Genie Beebe, who had stayed at home to raise their children, wanted to make sure the company survived to pass to her eldest son, Kevin.
Some of the staff left, but several stayed to assist Genie with the transition. With the help of several employees, including some that no longer are part of our team, Genie was able to maintain the type of service that our community expects. Chris, who is now the Shop Manager, and Sean, the best mechanic in Martin and Palm Beach County are still here. Of course Kevin is still here learning the ropes of running a mechanic shop. We added some new employees with a lot of experience keeping our quality of work superior.
With the help of great employees, including Kevin Beebe, Tequesta Tire Co., Inc. will next year, be celebrating our 50th year in business.
